FLOWSTATE ATOMIZER

This project began with an examination of the common desktop atomizer, challenging a reimagining for the specific, dual-purpose needs of the modern remote worker and PC enthusiast — who struggle simultaneously with dry air fatigue and dust accumulation on expensive electronics. Early research showed that aesthetic integration and non-messy cleaning were paramount, pushing the design beyond a single-function appliance. Through sketches and foam models, the design evolved to prioritize a clean form that could radically change its function. The result, FlowState, utilizes a proprietary slide-and-rotate mechanism to transform seamlessly between a stationary humidifier and a handheld cleaner, incorporating a mechanical iris for precise mist direction.
